Secumarit BV is the premier independent marine consultancy firm conveniently located near the world’s largest, and principal, port of Europoort, close to the mouth of the River Maas and the developing extension of the container port, of Maasvlakte II.
Secumarit was formed in June 2011 by William (Bill) Millar, a British national and long-time resident of the Netherlands, to provide all sectors of the maritime industry with professional, and cost-effective services and guidance, including, but not limited to, surveys, audits, inspections, training and plan-writing on behalf of Owners and managers, including SIRE & CDI pre-vetting surveys, audits and management reviews, such as Tanker Management Self-Assessments (TMSA), navigation and environmental compliance audits.
Secumarit also provides Owners and charterers with loss control surveys, particularly in the petroleum and petrochemical sectors.
Secumarit provides Owners and Managers with ISM SMS/ISPS/SOPEP/SMPEP/VRP plan review, drafting and maintenance services.
Secumarit conduct surveys and inspections on behalf of select Flag States, International Group P&I Clubs (condition surveys) and select charterers. Secumarit are certified to conduct Class-approved ultrasonic hatch-tightness testing, mainly as part of the P&I Club condition surveys; however this service is also available, at cost, to Owners whose vessels may be loading cargoes susceptible to wet damage.
